Since i'm a one man team i use a tripod a lot. My question is do you guys just leave it running or hit play then sled then hit stop?

Well we have an two man team and sometimes we use the tripod and do a couple runs then hit stop.
So your not constantly running back in forth.
Do like two or three runs or more then hit stop.
Thats what we did when we were riding a box.
But we didnt have to go far to get to the box and go down it.
I say it matters on how far you have to walk after the run.

with a 3 man team we use a tripod just for stability in our filming, we have one person filming and the other two sledding. we move it around a lot for different angles and the only time I keep it running is if im sledding by myself.Lots of times we have friends over when we are sledding so we let them film so we can sled non stop.

I have a two man team, so one films and one shreds.
i still use a tripod though, its really a must.
and i usually do about 2 runs then shut it off if im alone.
sometiems 1, because i have to get to the top of the hill, which needs a little hustle.
